How to create 6 months of HD video content in 2 hours

Date Posted: February 1, 2021

There’s 6 reasons why most business owners don’t film regular video content:

  1. They are scared to be on camera
  2. They don’t have the equipment
  3. They have equipment, but don’t know how to set it up correctly
  4. They don’t know what to talk about
  5. They don’t want to pay for a videographer
  6. They haven’t got time to film it

All of this ultimately equates to no videos being done.

Which is a shame, because video is favoured by social media platforms (almost) unanimously.

You generally get better reach with video content.

You can build trust faster in my opinion using video.

You get arguably the best ‘return on effort’ from video.

And you can repurpose the content into audio and text transcription.

So what’s the fastest path to great quality videos – without spending a fortune or wasting days filming?

One thing I do with my 1:1 clients is batch creation of HD video content.

We get 6 months of video content for their business done in 2 hours.

I have a ‘run sheet’ template I use, where the client will list 13 topics + 5 bullet points for each topic.

(The aim is to have one is published every fortnight for 6 months)

The topics are around sharing their expert industry knowledge to add value for potential customers.

The focus in the videos is building trust and showing prospects that we have the expertise and ability to help fix their problems.

On the day, we have a very simple set up – tripod, iPhone and mic (usually use natural lighting where possible instead of lighting set ups).

I’ll explain to the client the basics of presenting well on camera.

Then we’ll record 13 videos that are 2-4 minutes usually.

For editing – we simply trim the start and end. No logos and no text over the video.

While it looks nice, it takes too long and honestly – the prospect doesn’t care.

It’s way more important your content has genuinely useful information + audio is clear + video is HD.

Prospects care 1000x more about fixing their problems than whether your logo flashes in the video.

Once this is done, we write the video descriptions and schedule the videos.

Doing all of this will allow you to publish consistent, high quality and valuable video content for months on end.

Lastly, the most important thing – is that you get content out and start practicing.

Soooooooo many people way overthink video.

They’re so caught up in how they look, how they sound, will they like it – all this internal BS that doesn’t help anyone.

Meanwhile, your prospects are still struggling with their problems because people like you haven’t got your expertise in front of them.

Get the content out, put in the practice and reap the rewards while everyone else is still mulling it over in their office for the 4000th time.

Hope that helps, if you have questions about any further details – feel free to comment below or message me on Facebook and I’ll assist.

Cheers,

Ray
